Edison Municipal Court
The Edison municipal court presides over traffic offenses, local ordinance violations and disorderly persons violations. More serious charges, like indictable offenses are first filed in the Edison municipal court and later forwarded to the County Prosecutor. The Office of the County Prosecutor determines whether the case will be heard on the county/criminal level or if it will be downgraded and heard before the municipal court.

The court is in session Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., and the Violation Bureau Hours are Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Presiding Judges include Chief Judge Gary Price and Judges Parag Patel and Mary Casey. Coming from the North on the Turnpike
Take the NJ Turnpike South to exit 10 (Rt. 287 North). Take Rt. 287 North to Exit 27, south, New Brunswick. Proceed to the fourth traffic light and make a right onto Municipal Boulevard. End at 100 Municipal Boulevard on the right.
Coming from the North on the Garden State Parkway
If you are taking the Garden State Parkway, go South to exit 130 (Rt. 1 South). Take Rt. 1 South to Route 287 North. Take Rt. 287 North to Exit 27, south, New Brunswick. Proceed to the fourth traffic light and make a right onto Municipal Boulevard. End at 100 Municipal Boulevard on the right.
Coming for the South on the Turnpike
Take the New Jersey Turnpike North to exit 9. Then take Route 1 North to the first traffic light which is Plainfield Avenue. Cross over Rt. 1 onto Plainfield Avenue. Proceed to the next traffic light and take a right onto Rt. 27 North. Then proceed to the third traffic light and make a left onto Municipal Boulevard. End at 100 Municipal Boulevard on the right.
Coming from the South on the Garden State Parkway
Take the Garden State Parkways North to exit 127 and get on Rt. 287 North. Then take exit 27, south, New Brunswick. Proceed to the fourth traffic light and make a right onto Municipal Boulevard. End at 100 Municipal Boulevard on the right.
